We were delighted to take the creative lead on the rebrand of Coventry Transport Museum in the wake of its £9.5 million transformation last year. Housing the largest collection of British road transport in the world, the museum is as popular with locals as it is visitors, so we took our responsibility very seriously. The substantial project included a new logo, new branding with corporate guidelines, various pieces of promotional literature, advertising, new signage for the refurbished galleries and an 80-page guidebook that showcased everything inside the museum.
In 2015 Coventry Transport Museum completed a £9.5M redevelopment that completely transformed all of the Museum’s exhibition spaces. As a result, it is now regarded as one of the best transport museums in the world with an international reputation for excellence. From the outset of the project we knew that we also needed to create a new ‘brand image’ for the Museum so we enlisted the help of Abstract Design. Their creative vision, professionalism and ability to understand our needs as a client, resulted in a brand new look to all the Museum’s literature, publications, website and signage that now matches our international reputation. We are delighted with the results of our new brand.
