Three pillars of social media marketing

1 Give and take: It is important to spend some of your time on social media sharing and commenting on content created by others. This will in turn make you and therefore your content more visible, and more important to others.
2 Target audience: Get to know your target audience. Read their content and wherever possible join any discussion that they may be involved in. This will help you to identify their needs or problems and allow you to create content specifically to ‘push their buttons’ and engage them.
3 Quality of content: Consistently high quality, relevant content will generate greater numbers of followers and shares. It’s more important that your followers share your content than that you engage once at the beginning followed by nothing. A small number of active followers is more beneficial than a large number of inactive followers.
